Reviewer Comments:

The M200 is available in black, marbled blue, and marbled green barrels with black caps and gold plated trim. A special black Italic M200 is available with a medium italic nib, but is not covered under this review. The M200 has screw in nibs that are easily replaced without tools. I have two nibs for my M200, an F and an M. The M nib was custom ground to a cursive italic. The F nib is surprisingly responsive for a stainless steel nib, with a hint of shading. I wanted more shading, so I bought the custom ground M. As all my Pelikans, it is a smooth, wet writer. The M200 is a smaller pen, but still comfortable in my large hand. It is light and well balanced whether posted or not. My M200 developed a hairline crack in the cap from posting. The crack is stable and protected by the cap band. This is one of the reasons I do not like to post my pens. The M200 is a good everyday writer. If I could have only one pen and three nibs, the M200 would be my choice.

Gold plated stainless steel nib in EF, F, M, B, BB, OM, OB, OBB. Capped length, 4 7/8"; posted, 5 3/4"; girth, 1/2". Piston fill from bottle only and the barrel has an ink view.
