The M800 is available in the familiar green striated barrel with a black cap. It also comes in blue or red striated barrels, or a solid black barrel. All come with black caps and have gold plated trim. The nibs screw in and are easily changed without tools. My M800 has a responsive OM nib that lays down a smooth, wet line with shading. Even with the generous ink flow, the piston filler holds plenty of ink. The M800 is slightly smaller than the M1000, but still oversized. Like the M1000, the M800 is light and well balanced, whether used posted or unposted. For some people, the M1000 is too big for their hands. If the M1000 is to bulky or uncomfortable for you, try the M800.
